NURTURING YOUR SPIRITUAL JOURNEY

Our History

The Society was founded in 1931 on a simple belief: when we lift each other up, we all grow stronger. For generations, we have stood beside DSNY employees and their families, offered comfort in times of need, celebrated achievements, and carried forward a tradition of faith, respect, and service across the department.

Helping children with special needs has become the heart of our mission. Every fundraiser, every event, every charitable initiative is driven by this purpose. We focus our efforts where compassion can make a lasting difference, and we take pride in the hope and support we provide to these children and their families.

This is more than tradition. It is our calling. It is our promise. And it continues today with the help of every member who chooses to give, serve, and stand together.
